Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the common questions I get asked. If you have any other questions, please contact me.

  • +What is not included with interior Leisure vehicle clean?

I do not offer cleaning Inside Ovens, Toilets (actual toilet not cubical) and Microwaves.

  • +Will washing a caravan/Motorhome eliminate oxidation?

Washing will remove grime and dirt but will not remove oxidation. This needs to be removed with polishing compounds. Speak to us about this service.

  • +Do you Machine Polish Caravans and Motorhomes?

Yes we do. Dull and Oxidised surfaces can be restored using the most up to date products and methods. Just call on 07557055969 or contact me.

  • +Are your prices inclusive of VAT?

I am not VAT registered, therefore I do not charge VAT.

  • +Where can I find examples of your work?

You can view examples of our work in the gallery. On the other hand, you are welcome to visit our Facebook page which is updated on a regular basis.

  • +What happens if it rains or weather conditions are bad?

Unfortunately, my work is ‘weather permitting’. I always keep a close eye on the weather. I will contact you a day or two before your booking if the weather is looking bad. If the weather still doesn’t look good we can rearrange my visit for you.

  • +Do you offer any group discounts?

I welcome group bookings. I am always happy to discuss quotes based on your requirements.

  • +Cancellations?

If you need to cancel, I require at least 72 hours prior to your confirmed booking or there will be a 50% cancellation fee.

  • +How can I pay you?

You are more than welcome to pay cash on the day of your valet, or alternatively you can pay direct (to be paid 24 hours in advance). Sorry, I no longer accept cheques.

  • +I have got some nasty scuffs on my front bumper, could you polish this out?

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that a scuff will fully polish out. Usually, if the scratch/scuff catches on your fingernail that is a sign that it will be too deep to polish out.

  • +Do you have any restrictions on where you can work on my vehicle?

I do have several restrictions for safety and insurance purposes when working on a customers vehicle. I will not valet a vehicle which is parked on the side of a road or if it is on a council-owned car park. I am not allowed to work on site at airfields either. Some places will require permission to be granted before arrival and it is the customer’s responsibility to make sure this is in place before I arrive. I will not be held responsible for any fines, clamps, tow charges or parking fees if these were to occur and you will need to reimburse us for these charges if permission is not granted.  Apart from this, we can work on your car at home or your place of work, whichever is easier for you.

  • +I live in a flat and don’t have access to water and electricity, is this a problem?

Not at all! My van is equipped to carry water and a generator for power.

  • +I’ve recently purchased a car, but after its first wash I’ve noticed swirl marks and the paintwork dulling. Why is this happening?

There are a number of reasons for this, but more often that not, it’s because someone inexperienced has been using the wrong products, techniques, and buffing pads to remove scratches and other imperfections in the car paintwork. The swirl marks appear after the first wash because the polishes and glazes used to fill in the swirl marks and imperfections get washed away. Find information on how Clean Correct Protect Specialist Valeting can help in eliminating such marks.

  • +Why get my new car detailed?

Contrary to popular belief, new cars rarely look their best. Despite being treated to a quick wash and polish by the dealership (which may even result in swirl marks caused by over-eager attention and wrong techniques), residue from the protective film they wear during transportation may remain. Plus the car may have been stored outside for a number of months, near docks, railways and other industrial areas. All this before being subjected to a light dusting of contaminants when transported on the UK road system or by rail. Find out more of how car detailing helps protect a car.

  • +What is paintwork correction?

Paintwork correction is the removal of common paint problems, such as scratches, bird stains, swirl marks, buffer marks, micro-marring, cob-webbing and 3D hologram effects. This is carried out by re-levelling the lacquer by one or two microns, so that the paintwork reflects light perfectly at all angles, including direct sunlight. Find out more about our car paintwork correction packages.

  • +What is detailing?

Car Detailing is the process of thorough cleaning, restoration and finishing off the vehicle, both inside and out, to produce a show-quality level of detail. Find out more about my car detailing and paint enhancement services.

  • +Are you insured?

Yes, I have comprehensive insurance covering public liability, damage caused to vehicles being worked on, or vehicles being moved. This gives my customers peace of mind.
